If anybody can think of other ways that we could do this promotion then please feel free to chip in.
Also if we have any great copywriters out there that would be willing to help out by designing a great looking ad describing the benefits of this forum and why people should join then that would be much appreciated.

I got this email today that is a well know phishing scam. Lol I went to the person's UTL where the link in the email got redirect to, and low and behold his account was suspended. Gee, I wonder why that happened. Some people never learn. If I had much to say about these crooks I'd make sure every last one of them were fined steeply. ;)

Be on the lookout for emails like these. These are phishing emails and the person sending them wants to get a hold of your personal information like to your banks, creadit cards, and payment processors such as Paypal accounts.

Here is a prime example of what one looks like if you are not sure (all links have been broken deliberately):

Not to take away from anyone's livelyhood, but one of the oldest websites I've used over the years for Search Engine information and submissions, and index submission is DIY Website Promotion | How to Create and Submit Websites to Search Engines like Google | Free Site Submission | Website Ranking | Do It Yourself . And I'm talking about REAL search engines, directories and indexes, not your typical link farms that's been popping up all over the place in the past couple of years. The owner and publisher, Robert Woodhead, was up and going with this site long before I started working online, and it seems that his site out lasted the test of time so far.

For a small nominal fee (used to be $15) per year, he will do most of your submissions for you. Well except for the ones you have to submit manually to, and even at that, he supplies the tools, and provides the space to save your information so you can resubmit at the flip of a button any time. He also provides other great tools to help you pinpoint trouble spots with your sites that might keep you back from gaining good listings in the SEs.

I haven't used his site in over a year and a half and still see listings from a couple of my original sites. I think I'm going to start using him again. I have no idea why I stopped in the first place other than going on a spree of doing for myself. I know part of it was me going through a heavy testing period, and you know how that goes. It seems like you have yto do it all yourself to know exactly what got done and when.

This stuff can be done by him for as little as it costs while I do some serious bookmarking and other link building, or have it outsourced.

Oh, he used to have an affiliate program too for those who are interested.

Lol I hadn't used adsense for almost a year. I originally set up a revenue sharing mod last year for forum members to get a little something extra, but the darn thing was too buggy to continue to use. I went back over this eve to see if the guy upgraded it since I used it last, and he did, so I uploaded it and set everything up, and don't you know I still had ad troubles. ;)

I found that Google is going to display whatever they wish any way. I don't know why they bother to ask on the site if you want text, text and images, or images because they show them all even if you pick one.

I know I picked images, and keep getting text links like you would in text ads most of the time, and the worse part about it is that the colors aren't even the right one I picked for the site. So basically when you pick images, it sets the standard blue ads when it shows the text ads.

Are you guys seeing the same thing as I am? I'm thinking it's geo targeted to my location or something, this is why I get the text ads, but even so if I set the ad on images, it should show images or so I thought.

Let me know what you guys see okay?

Thanks ...

Oh, and don't forget to go into your usercp, hen to "Edit Your Details" and fill in the info down at the bottom of the page if you want some of the revenue.

I may not have it up long because I am afraid that the double links in the text ads will give out too much link juice. It's bad enough we have to should their links once without getting compensated for it, but twice ... well, that's just a little too much for me.

Has anyone written, had published and is selling their own physical books and making money onlineonline?

I"ve been seeing more and more where some of the online money processors like PayPal and the like aren't backing up the sellers like they were at one time if they are selling digital products. It's bad enough to get no support and have to give a refund, but now these places are charging the seller if they end up having to refund someone.

Personally, I think it might be smarter to go with physical products versus digital anyway because they give the customer something tangible for their money, but books especially seem to pick up more authenticity, and hold much more value and authority if they are a physically published work.

Years ago I wrote a short book and had it published. It wasn't a big seller, so I ended up giving free copies of it away. It was about Spiritual matters and the church. I had a cookbook published about a year and a half ago that is still on the shelves pulling in a profit. The worse part about it is that I never built a site for it. I let it do whatever. Yeah, I know that sounds bad, and now I'm regretting it a little. I've been concentrating on digital products since I started my own online business and didn't take notice until the last few months.

I am planning to write a couple more physical books though to put up and sell through Amazon and possibly Barnes & Noble ® and Books-A -Million. Right now, I have 3 about half way done, and a book of written out skits for organizational use.

Only this time I'm planning on putting up sites for all of them. It might take me a little longer to finish them up and get them published and printed, but I think it will be worth it in the end because the sales will be better, and I will most likely be able to sell them at a higher price. Also, I think the physical books will last so much longer on the shelf. They will also most likely draw in the media more and get publisised.

Sure, there have been some good ebooks that's lasted over the years and were passed down to thers, but the najority of them fizzle out right after the original launch.

What do you guys think about Physical books versus digital? Do you think selling physical books is better over selling digital ones?

As someone who is pretty tech-challenged and has very little knowledge of any coding, HTML or otherwise, this was a pretty tough few days for me but boy! I feel so good that I did it!

I became a contributor at my very first giveaway event. Now, the product creation part isn't difficult for me. But creating sales pages and squeeze pages and all that sort of thing took forever!

I've decided now that I have all this stuff in place, I'm going to do a couple more giveaways between now and Christmas. Way too much work to not use again, you know?

I would rather have buyers on my lists than freebie seekers but I figure it's worth a shot. I did pass giveaway rights with both of my freebies, of course with some affiliate links in there as well as links to my other products.

I'm hoping to do fairly well as it was also my first time doing an OTO (one with each giveaway item) and I think those will go over pretty well.

What is your experience with giveaway events? Love'em? Hate'em? Eh?

I see product after product put out to teach article marketing and I see this repeated again and again. "You don't want to give away the farm" in your article so give them very little information to get them to click through your link.

I fail to see the value in this and I have to wonder if they've even tested this theory. If the article I read doesn't show me that you actually KNOW your stuff, I'm not clicking through - why should I?

I think it's better to produce a valuable article that has value ON IT'S OWN to show the reader your true expertise.

Is this because I'm a reader or have you found this to be true, as well?

Plus, I honestly have to wonder about the value of anything a marketer is selling if they think they will give out too much information in an article.

I am working on building a list and I will be putting out a newsletter each week. My goal is to provide valuable content that will actually help my readers. I am on so many email lists that send nothing but promo after promo and I hate it. The ones that I read and save are the people who send me regular great content. That's the group of marketers that I want to be in.

I don't think I am on any of the regulars' lists in this forum to know if any of you do a newsletter. If you do, I would love to hear your thoughts or tips on how to make a great newsletter. If you don't, I would love to hear what you would find valuable as content.

Since my core skills lie in research, writing and product creation (text only so far), that will be my focus. I want to hopefully make a difference in how my readers approach content creation and do my bit to slow the tide of internet littering that some who call themselves article marketers promote.
What I am attempting to do and document is to use these sites to backlink my own sites more than anything. My plan is to document any revenue generated directly from the sites but the main goal is to see what kind of effect the links and hopefully traffic have on my own sites.

Has anyone ever tried setting up a system using some of these type of resources?
I finally completed my very first product that is to be sold with my name as author. It was a rush! Nervous and excited all rolled into one. Took me way longer to get everything set up than I thought it would and that's without an upsell or an OTO. I'll try those next time...lol.
I don't imagine it will sell very well, despite excellent reviews so far, because teaching skills is never as sexy as the "make $10K while walking your dog" products. But I did it! LOL.

To be honest with you, to make money online, you have to start a email list. You do that by setting up a squeeze page, and getting a autoresponder. When you try to sell something directly to people, there's a slim chance that the person is not going to purchase on the first visit. However if you get a customer on your email list, you can always go back and market to them. The Money Is In the List Guys. You heard it a million times. You also have to know how to drive traffic to your website. You can do that by video marketing, writing articles and submitting them to directories, paid advertising such as ppc, ppv.

I'm talking about places like DocStock and Scribd, etc. I am curious as to how effective this is and what would be the best way to use these types of sites. I've been told you can even get backlinks this way although I'm not sure how powerful the links are.

I was thinking that it would be a good way to distribute a short report that has some affiliate links and/or links to my squeeze pages or products. Even if it's not a huge return, since it wouldn't take much time it might be worth trying.
Would love to hear any strategies that have worked for you, if you've tried this.

Article Auto Syndication Method

Some seem to think that auto syndication of articles have to do with taking an entire article and syndicating it to other sites. Most are blinded to think those other sites are article directories.

Auto syndication has nothing at all to do with syndicating your entire article to useless article directories. Yes I do call them useless because let's face facts, 95% of them are useless. This is one problem I see in IM, many have problems facing facts even when they see no results they still continue to do the same thing.

Auto syndication of your articles has to do with taking a summary of that article and syndicating it to build up the article. This is done by taking the title and using it as the anchor text linking to the article and with a summary of the article.

In some cases the summary of that article can even contain the same links the original article does. This mainly depends upon if you format your article properly or not.

I have seen some of my competition try to copy my auto syndication but they failed because they can not understand or comprehend the entire concept but yet they claim to be expert article marketers.

While some article directories may still be good... Stop wasting your time with low level article directories that are built from free code and have adsense ads all over them. Expand your marketing and start posting your articles / summaries to social media sites.

I have been working online for about 2 years now, and successfully for about a year. In that time I have seen a lot of products come and go.

When it comes to content packages, I have to say, Mark Ling's new AffiloJetpack is the best I have ever seen. I don't usually promote PLR content, mainly because most of it is junk. However, when I heard about this package, I had to check it out.

I first found my success online under Mark Ling's tutelage with his Affiloblueprint system. However, when he created that training, he focused on teaching how to outsource articles rather than how to create them yourself, or providing a way to get them. For myself, and a lot of other people, this just didn't work. Now, I am a freelance writer, but back then, I had not written more than a few paragraphs since I graduated High School.

Because I know and trust Mark's commitment to quality, when I was asked if I wanted a review copy of the new product, I jumped at the chance. There was no pressure to promote it, but once I got inside, my jaw hit the floor. Some people think I have gone nuts the last few days, with my promotions of this product, but the reason why is because it has me super excited.

I haven't been this excited since James slapped out his autosyndication for AP.

For this to be a fair review of the product itself, let me show you what all you get with the AffiloJetpack.

When Mark first started creating this package, he looked at the biggest barriers that his students dragged their feet on. So, he has put together a package that leaves those barriers in the dust.

The most common barriers are: chosing a niche, writing content, creating high quality emails and opt in incentives, driving traffic to a site. The AffiloJetpack is engineered by professionals who build these same type of sites themselves every day. They aren't just selling a product. they use it themselves.

To begin with, you get to choose between 10 niche markets, that are all HIGHLY profitable. With the basic package, you get to choose 5 Jetpacks, but you can always upgrade for more. Each of these are put together to help build profitable affiliate websites.

Each pack contains:
20 SUPER High Quality Articles.

These range from detailed how to articles, to top ten lists, and even a few Product reviews already written for some highly profitable affiliate products, if you choose to promote them.

Now, the articles in each Pack are well researched, and highly targeted to the niches that are in question. They are packed to the gills with value to drive home to your readers.

1 year of Engaging Emails
That is a full years worth of emails, when spaced out properly. These are set to engage your readers and drive more sales to your offer. Also, if you cross promote highly related niches, you can swap the emails from other Jetpacks, extending the life of your list even longer.

3 High Quality Ebooks
These are fully editable ebooks that you can rwrite, add your own content, name and links to. They each come with their own graphic covers, or you can create your own. Use these as opt in incentives, bonuses, or freebies to give away to your favorite customers.

Just as an example of how high the quality of these articles and ebooks are, I have already started building up a few of my sites with these packs. I had someone opt in to my list, read the ebook and buy a product through my promotion.

A day later they sent me an email complaining that my free stuff was better than what they paid for. And I did very little to edit the ebook or emails. I rewrote it slightly, to add my own voice to it, but the content itself was basically the same.

you don't find that kind of quality very often in a PLR product. Now, this product is not available yet. They are doing a full product launch, but I thought I would let you know my thoughts on it a little early.

Now, I am an affiliate, but this is an honest review. Not going to spam you with my link here. I just am super excited about the possibilities that I see with it.

now, like all PLR products, I would recommend not using it as is. I would rewrite it to make it all original, and add your own unique flair to the content. However, if you are struggling to create good content for your sites, this is a great way to build up your website and email list quickly.

Now, let's look at a few numbers here. The price on the product itself is pretty high, but the quality is worth every penny. I think the price will be a barrier to keep out many who would missuse it. It is set at $497.00. however look at what all you get:

100 unique high quality articles

15 free reports

800 prewritten emails

15 eye catching header graphics

15 ebook covers

Affilorama's custom wordpress theme

1 year free webhosting (Optional: one click site install with the theme ready to go if you use this option)

Bonus Website Traffic Generation Training to help those who are tired of struggling with SEO.

basically everything that you need to build 5 profitable websites. all you have to do is set it all up and promote it using the training Mark gives you.

I have already been testing these for myself, and I am already seeing results in less than a week.
If you have been struggling to make money online, then this package will be invaluable. If you are an experienced marketer, you will see how you can leverage all this content to explode your business.

Now, I have seen many of these type of "cookiecutter" sites before, and so you may be skeptical. Many of them lacked the quality promised, or support needed to make it work.

Mark and his staff are eager to help people succeed. You will find that the level of support surpasses any you will find with other products. heck, the product isn't even live, and I got mine free, but they have already been there to help me get kick started.

If you are looking for a way to expand your affiliate business, and jump into successful marketing, then I highly recommend Mark Ling's AffiloJetpack.
